This Privacy Policy explains how Pricely ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use pricely.me and related services (the "Service").
1. Scope
This policy applies to visitors, account holders, and clients who interact with documents or portals hosted through Pricely. It does not cover third-party websites you link to from the Service.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
- Name, email address, and authentication identifiers (including Google sign-in if you choose it).
- Workspace settings such as company name, currency, branding, and payment preferences.
Business and client data you provide
- Client names, email addresses, and contact details you store in Pricely.
- Quote and invoice content, line items, amounts, notes, and PDFs you generate.
- Signatures or acceptance records submitted by your clients.
Payment information
- Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We receive billing status, plan, and customer IDs from Stripe — not your full card number.
- Optional client invoice payments may be processed through Stripe Connect accounts you connect; card data is handled by Stripe.
Usage and technical data
- Pages viewed, features used, and product analytics events (via Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-P3QYFR72RW).
- Device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, and error logs (Sentry when enabled).
- IP address collected when a client accepts a quote (via a third-party IP lookup service) for audit purposes you enable.
Communications
- Emails we send on your behalf (quote/invoice delivery, portal PINs, reminders) via Resend.
- Support correspondence you send to support@pricely.me.
AI-assisted features
If you use AI quote generation, the text you submit is sent to Groq to produce suggestions. Do not submit sensitive personal data you do not want processed by that provider.
3. How we use information
- Provide, secure, and maintain the Service.
- Process subscriptions and optional client payments.
- Send transactional emails you request (documents, portal access, reminders).
- Understand product usage and fix errors.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Communicate about important Service changes.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where GDPR applies, we process data based on: (a) contract — to provide the Service you signed up for; (b) legitimate interests — security, analytics, and improvement; (c) consent — where required for optional cookies or marketing; and (d) legal obligation.
5. How we share information
We share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, under contracts requiring appropriate safeguards:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, database, hosting.
- Stripe — subscription billing and optional Connect payments.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Google Analytics — aggregated usage analytics.
- Groq — optional AI text generation.
- Sentry — error monitoring.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or acquisition with notice where required.
Documents you share with clients (quote/invoice links, client portal) are accessible to anyone with the link and required access token or PIN you distribute.
6. International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access the Service from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards where required by law.
7. Data retention
- Account and workspace data is kept while your account is active.
- You may delete a workspace from Workspace Settings; deletion is permanent.
- We may retain limited logs and backups for security, billing, and legal compliance for a reasonable period.
- You can export data from the Service where export features are available.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Firebase security rules, authenticated API access, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; notify us immediately at support@pricely.me if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email support@pricely.me. We will verify your request before acting.
You can:
- Update account details in Settings.
- Cancel marketing emails via unsubscribe links when we send them.
- Block analytics cookies using browser settings (the Service may still collect essential operational logs).
- Delete your workspace or request account deletion by contacting support.
10. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents may request to know, delete, or correct personal information we collect, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" as defined by California law. We do not sell personal information. Submit requests to support@pricely.me. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect children's data. Contact us to request deletion if you believe a child provided information.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post updates at https://pricely.me/privacy/ and revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice when appropriate.
